Job summary

Trant Engineering Ltd in Totton near Southampton is seeking a Wireperson to join our workshop. You will accurately assemble and wire control panels, MCCs, and automation systems to electrical drawings, ensuring quality, safety and compliance before testing.

From schematics, BOMs and GA drawings, you will install and terminate power and instrumentation cabling, contribute to ongoing improvements and work with testers and supervisors to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation, Panel Wiring, or Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and GA drawings.
• Experience wiring control panels, MCCs, or similar electrical assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Carry out wiring of control panels, MCCs and automation systems to schematics.
• Install and terminate power, control, and instrumentation cabling.
• Assemble and wire MCCs and control panels; ensure proper termination and safety compliance.
• Interpret BOMs and drawings; collaborate with testers and supervisors to hit targets.
