Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking a skilled Panel Beater / Panel Technician in Daventry to perform panel repairs and replacements on accident-damaged vehicles, ensuring workmanship meets high standards and customer satisfaction. Ideal candidates will have IMI/ATA qualifications or equivalent, experience in bodyshops, knowledge of Thatcham methods and BS10125, and hold a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

IMI and/or ATA qualification as a Panel Technician.
Experience in automotive bodyshop or accident repair centre.
Knowledge of panel repair, welding and replacement techniques.
Understanding of Thatcham repair methods and BS10125 standards.
Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

Carry out panel repair and replacement operations.
Work to Thatcham methods, insurer guidelines, manufacturer standards and BS10125.
Carry out structural repairs including welding.
Prepare repaired areas to the required standard with body filler and finishing.
Identify additional damage and communicate findings to the Estimator and Production Manager.
Protect customer vehicles from further damage during the repair process.
Store removed and reusable parts properly.
Maintain excellent housekeeping and ensure safety compliance.
