Job summary

Auto Skills UK in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Panel Beater/Panel Technician to join a modern accident repair centre and restore vehicles to manufacturer standards. You will repair damaged panels, remove/replace parts, and ensure precise, high-quality workmanship.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, a competitive salary (£40,000–£50,000+, DOE) with an OTE of £60,000+, and a supportive team dedicated to quality and progression.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Panel Beater or Panel Technician within a Bodyshop or accident repair centre.

Responsibilities

• Repair damaged vehicle panels using approved body repair techniques.
• Remove and replace damaged body panels where required.
• Carry out panel alignment and structural repairs to manufacturer specifications.
• Use specialist Bodyshop equipment to complete high-quality repairs.
• Work closely with MET Technicians, Paint Technicians, and Vehicle Damage Assessors to maintain an efficient repair process.
• Ensure all repairs are completed safely, accurately, and within agreed timescales.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure vehicles are ready for the next stage of repair.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for an experienced and quality-focused individual with a background in accident repair.

Alternative job titles include Panel Beater, Panel Technician, Body Repair Technician, Automotive Panel Technician, Bodyshop Panel Beater.

You should have:

• Previous experience as a Panel Beater or Panel Technician within a Bodyshop or accident repair centre.
• Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Body Repair (NVQ/IMI/SVQ/ATA), with ongoing commitment to continuous professional development.
• Strong knowledge of modern panel repair techniques and manufacturer repair methods.
• The ability to work efficiently without compromising on quality.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing first-class repairs.
• A positive attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A full UK driving licence.
