Job summary

Streamline Search Limited is recruiting an experienced Panel Beater to join an established accident repair centre in Whitstable. The role involves repairing accident-damaged vehicles, restoring body panels and ensuring repairs meet a high standard.

You will work with the bodyshop team, including MET Technicians and Paint Sprayers, to return vehicles to pre-accident condition. Hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00, with a full-time, permanent contract and pay £18–£24 per hour DOE.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Panel Beater in an accident repair centre or bodyshop.
• Skilled in repairing and reshaping accident-damaged vehicle bodywork.
• Experience removing, repairing and replacing vehicle panels.
• Knowledge of panel repair techniques and equipment.
• Ability to assess damage and determine the repair method.
• High attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Repair dents and damage to vehicle body panels after accidents.
• Straighten, reshape and repair damaged panels including doors/bonnets.
• Remove and replace damaged panels as needed.
• Use specialist tools and equipment for panel repairs.
• Carry out welding and panel alignment where required.
• Identify additional damage during repair and report issues.
• Work with MET Technicians and Paint Sprayers to progress repairs.
• Ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organised workspace.

About the Role

This role involves repairing accident-damaged vehicles, restoring body panels and ensuring all repairs are completed to a high standard. You will work closely with the wider bodyshop team, including MET Technicians and Paint Sprayers, to return vehicles to their pre-accident condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair dents and damage to vehicle body panels following accidents
• Straighten, reshape and repair damaged panels, including doors, wings, bonnets and quarter panels
• Remove and replace damaged panels where necessary
• Use specialist tools and equipment to carry out panel repairs
• Carry out welding and panel alignment where required
• Identify additional damage during the repair process and report any issues
• Work closely with MET Technicians and Paint Sprayers to ensure repairs progress efficiently
• Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and quality standards
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment

Candidate Requirements

• Ability to assess damage and determine the appropriate repair method
• High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant qualifications or time-served experience preferred
• Full UK driving licence
