Job summary

Tru Talent is seeking a skilled Panel Beater / Panel Technician in Motherwell to repair damaged vehicles to manufacturer specifications in a state-of-the-art bodyshop. Excellent prospects for a motivated team player.

The role requires an ATA or NVQ-equivalent qualification, with a 42.5 hour week and an achievable bonus structure. Salary up to £52,000 along with 30+ days holiday and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship as Panel Beater with a relevant technical qualification (NVQ/VCQ/SVQ/ATA).
• Experience in a busy body shop with a strong team player mindset and motivation for bonus hours.
• Up-to-date knowledge of heavy and minor crash repair techniques.

Responsibilities

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre.
• Follow repair techniques to factory specifications and customer satisfaction.
• Remove damaged panels and parts, repair or replace them.
• Use welding equipment, hand tools and power tools to reshape and fit panels.
• Smooth out dents and imperfections using fillers and sanders.
• Align body parts for assembly and fit.
• Collaborate with team to ensure timely repairs.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Keep up-to-date with industry standards and techniques.

Our client is looking a talented and efficient Panel Beater / Panel Technician with a valid ATA or NVQ equivalent to join this leading team. You will be repairing damaged vehicles in line with the manufacturers' specifications within a state-of-the-art Bodyshop, utilising modern equipment and techniques.

Responsibilities for Panel Beater / Panel Technician:

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre
• Follow the correct repair techniques and produce work in line with factory specifications and customer satisfaction
• Remove damaged panels and parts, and repair or replace them.
• Use welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools to reshape and fit panels.
• Smooth out dents and small imperfections using fillers and sanders.
• Align body parts for assembly and fit.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure timely completion of repairs.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Skills and Qualifications for Panel Beater / Panel Technician:

• You will have served a recognised apprenticeship as a Panel Beater and gained a technical qualification (such as NVQ / VCQ / SVQ / ATA).
• You must have previous experience working as a Panel Beater / Panel Technician within a busy body shop and be a strong team player with a self-motivation to earn bonus hours.
• You will work to the highest standard and demonstrate a sound up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques with both heavy and minor crash repair.
