Job summary

Tru Talent in Yeovil is seeking a talented Panel Beater / Panel Technician to join our leading bodyshop team. You will repair damaged vehicles to factory specifications using modern equipment and techniques in a state-of-the-art facility.

The ideal candidate holds ATA or NVQ equivalent, has experience in busy body shops, and is motivated to maintain high standards. The role offers a competitive salary up to £50,000 and a 42.5-hour week with potential bonus and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship as a Panel Beater / Panel Technician / Car Body Repair Technician and a technical qualification (NVQ / VCQ / SVQ / ATA).
• Experience in a busy body shop and a strong team player with self-motivation to earn bonus hours.
• Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques for heavy and minor crash repair.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced accident repair centre.
• Follow repair techniques to factory specifications and customer satisfaction.
• Remove damaged panels and parts; repair or replace them.
• Use welding equipment, hand tools and power tools to reshape and fit panels.
• Smooth dents and imperfections using fillers and sanders.
• Align body parts for assembly and fit.
• Collaborate with team to complete repairs on time.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Keep up-to-date with industry standards and techniques.

Our client is looking for a talented and efficient Panel Beater / Panel Technician with a valid ATA or NVQ equivalent to join this leading team. You will be repairing damaged vehicles in line with the manufacturers' specifications within a state-of-the-art Bodyshop, utilising modern equipment and techniques.

Responsibilities for Panel Beater / Panel Technician / Car Body Repair Technician:

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre
• Follow the correct repair techniques and produce work in line with factory specifications and customer satisfaction
• Remove damaged panels and parts, and repair or replace them
• Use welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools to reshape and fit panels
• Smooth out dents and small imperfections using fillers and sanders
• Align body parts for assembly and fit
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure timely completion of repairs
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Keep up-to-date with industry standards and techniques
