Job summary

Pilgrims Hospices in East Kent is seeking a Registered General Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team in Canterbury. The role involves assessing and developing intervention plans, providing specialist palliative care, and supporting patients and families on ward and at discharge.

The post is permanent and full-time, with shifts including nights and weekends. Salary is £32,074 - £39,043 per annum, DOE, pro rata for part-time staff, with opportunities for CPD and professional development.

Qualifications

• Qualified and registered General Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Experience in palliative or end-of-life care preferred.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and provide patient-focused care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard of palliative nursing care reflecting evidence-based practice.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised patient care.
• Collaborate with MDT members to ensure continuity of care on ward and discharge.
• Offer symptom management guidance to patients and families.
• Supervise and educate other health professionals.
• Contribute to service development and lead improvement projects.
