Job summary

St John's Hospice is seeking two skilled and compassionate nurses to join our Hospice at Home team, covering North Lancashire, South Lakeland and surrounding areas. One post will be based at the Lancaster Hospice, the other from Windermere, with duties in patients' homes across the catchment.

The role delivers specialist palliative and end-of-life care in familiar home settings, requiring a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle during working hours.

Qualifications

• RGN registered nurse with UK practice.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Mentorship or similar qualification, or willingness to undertake.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care in community/home settings for patients and families.
• Lead and coordinate shifts, supervising Registered Nurses, Assistant Practitioners and Healthcare Assistants.
• Develop and maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
• Be flexible to meet service demands, including unsocial hours and weekends.
