Job summary

The Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Guildford is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Living Well service. This role involves supporting patients with advanced illness, coordinating care with multi-disciplinary teams, and delivering holistic, person-centred support across Beacon Centre and Farnham sites.

Hours are 22.5 per week (3 days), with salary £20,148–£24,900 per annum, aligned to 37.5 hours a week full-time equivalent. Commitment to continuous learning and compassionate care is essential.

Qualifications

• Be a Registered General Nurse.
• Commitment to enabling choice and supporting autonomy.
• Provide high quality holistic, person- and family-centred support.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willing to undertake further training in communication and palliative care skills.
• Experience of working with people approaching the end of life.
• Post-registration experience.

Responsibilities

• Support patients to manage symptoms and enable choices.
• Work as part of the North East Hampshire, Guildford, Waverley and Surrey Heath locality teams.
• Coordinate with community services, specialists, and primary care to ensure holistic care.
• Be flexible to work across Beacon and Farnham sites as needed.
• Contribute to care that is coordinated, proactive, and person-centred.
