Job summary

The University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated Complementary Therapist to join the Nightingale Macmillan Unit's established team. You will deliver holistic therapies to palliative care patients, supporting their comfort, pain and symptoms with therapies such as aromatherapy, massage, reflexology and relaxation techniques.

• Deliver complementary therapy interventions tailored to the individual needs of patients, families and carers.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate therapy programmes within a professional framework.
• Work collaboratively with specialist nursing, medical and community colleagues to provide holistic care.
• Prioritise referrals and manage your own caseload effectively.
• Support patients and their loved ones through what can often be challenging and emotional circumstances.
• Help develop and promote complementary therapies as an integral part of palliative care services.
