Job summary

Bolton Hospice is seeking an experienced Complementary Therapist to deliver hospice-approved therapies in the Wellbeing Hub and IPU, providing compassionate care to patients, families and carers. The role is part-time (15 hours per week) with a caring team and a focus on high-quality palliative care.

Applicants should hold a Diploma in Aromatherapy, a Certificate in Body Massage and a Diploma in Reflexology; Reiki or Crystal Therapy experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in complementary therapy across settings.
• Hold a recognised Diploma in Aromatherapy, Certificate in Body Massage and Diploma in Reflexology.
• Beneficial if experienced in Reiki or Crystal Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospice approved complementary therapy services to patients, families and carers.

Job description

At Bolton Hospice we offer a wide variety of Complementary Therapies that make a significant difference to patients, their families and carers. Team at Bolton Hospice is friendly, motivated and committed to providing a high quality, expert specialist palliative and end of life care to the people of Bolton.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Complementary Therapists to join us. The successful post holder will provide therapies within our Wellbeing Hub and on the IPU. We are looking for someone with a caring and compassionate nature, excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with patients, staff and supporters.

15 hours a week

The Role

Working as part of the Therapist Team, you will provide hospice approved complementary therapy services to patients, families and their carers within the Hospice. Our staff strive to provide the highest quality of service through a collaborative team approach.

What you need:

To be successful in this role you must have extensive experience in complementary therapy in a variety of settings; hold a recognised Diploma in Aromatherapy, Certificate in Body Massage, Diploma in Reflexology. It would be beneficial if you have experience of other therapies such as Reiki and Crystal Therapy or any other therapies which would be suitable at the hospice.

You will have a caring, empathetic and non-judgmental approach, be enthusiastic and willing to learn new skills whilst being creative with new ideas for improving our services.

Promote and maintain the philosophy of the hospice, and ensure standards are managed at all times.
