James Cropper PLC in Kendal seeks a pallet making operative to run pallet production safely and efficiently to required quality. You will monitor machines, manage raw material stocks, and record data using company systems to ensure performance targets are met.

Experience in manufacturing, teamwork, and knowledge of safety practices such as COSHH and Lock-Off are essential; forklift license is advantageous for this role.

Qualifikationen

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of machinery and equipment operation.
• Ability to work with others and take/give direction to achieve operational goals.
• Safety and Environment knowledge including Lock-Off/LOTO, manual handling, Safe Systems of Work and waste management (COSHH).
• Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck license and other motorised transport license would be beneficial.

Aufgaben

• Make pallets safely, efficiently and to the right quality.
• Maintain stocks of pallet making raw materials to meet customer specifications.
• Ensure safety and efficiency of production and communicate with colleagues to meet performance targets.
• Record information and documentation using company computer systems.
• Operate and monitor machinery to maximise capacity, safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance and report major breakdowns; assist with maintenance activities.
• Apply Safety and Environment practices including waste management.
