Job summary

Pure Resourcing Solutions Limited is seeking a Pallet & Stock Controller for an established FMCG manufacturing site in Essex to join a busy logistics team.

You will own pallet control, manage stock availability and movements, and contribute to reconciliations and reporting while working with CHEP, LPR and Tosca. This is a permanent role with a £32,000 to £35,000 salary.

Qualifications

• Experience in stock control, inventory or logistics.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Familiarity with pallet pooling systems (CHEP/LPR/Tosca) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Keep pallet stock up to date and ensure the operation has what it needs.
• Manage movements across CHEP, LPR and Tosca accounts.
• Handle orders, transfers, hires, returns and reconciliations.
• Investigate missing stock and discrepancies.
• Perform regular physical stock checks.
• Coordinate with hauliers, suppliers and customers to track and recover pallets.
• Produce accurate stock, usage and cost reports.
• Identify pallet losses and opportunities to reduce unnecessary cost.
• Support general warehouse inventory and stock control.
• Help improve processes and controls across the logistics operation.

Pallet & Stock Controller

£32,000 to £35,000 | Permanent | Essex

Pure Resourcing is working with an established FMCG manufacturing business to recruit a Pallet & Stock Controller into its busy logistics operation.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in stock control, inventory, warehousing or logistics administration who enjoys getting into the detail, resolving discrepancies and making sure everything balances as it should.

You’ll take ownership of pallet control across the site, managing everything from stock availability and movements through to supplier accounts, reconciliations and reporting. You’ll be dealing with well-known pallet pooling providers including CHEP, LPR and Tosca, while working closely with the wider warehouse, transport and planning teams.

What you’ll be doing

• Keeping on top of pallet stock and ensuring the operation has what it needs
• Managing movements across CHEP, LPR and Tosca accounts
• Handling orders, transfers, hires, returns and reconciliations
• Investigating missing stock and discrepancies
• Completing regular physical stock checks
• Working with hauliers, suppliers and customers to track and recover pallets
• Producing accurate stock, usage and cost reports
• Identifying pallet losses and opportunities to reduce unnecessary cost
• Supporting general warehouse inventory and stock control
• Helping improve processes and controls across the logistics operation

What we’re looking for

You don’t necessarily need to have held the title of Pallet Controller before.

We’re keen to speak with people from stock control, inventory, warehouse, transport or logistics backgrounds who are comfortable working with systems and data and aren’t afraid to investigate when the numbers don’t quite add up.

You’ll ideally bring

• Stock control, inventory or logistics experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Good Excel and systems skills
• Confidence investigating stock discrepancies
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Experience with CHEP, LPR, Tosca or pallet pooling would be particularly useful
