Job summary

Axis CLC Group is recruiting an experienced Painter to support our long-term partnership with Amey, delivering planned repairs and maintenance to family housing across military facilities in Cottesmore, Peterborough, Melton Mowbray and South Nottingham. The role is price-work for full redecoration of void properties, with some responsive repairs.

You will carry out painting and decorating to a high standard, performing surface prep, finishes and safety-compliant work, with flexibility to support

Qualifications

• Experience in painting and decorating in social housing or maintenance environments.
• Strong knowledge of surface preparation, materials and finishes.
• Ability to deliver high-quality workmanship with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Carry out internal and external painting and decorating works.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, filling, sanding and priming.
• Apply paints, stains, varnishes and finishes to a high standard.
• Undertake minor making-good works to prepare surfaces for decoration.
• Complete work safely, efficiently and in line with quality standards.
• Work independently and as part of a wider team.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety, quality and customer service standards.
• Use PDA/mobile technology to manage and update work orders.
• Carry out full redecoration of void properties to a high standard.
