Job summary

Horizon Care and Education Group is seeking a Skilled Painter and Decorator to work across our Children's Homes and Supported Accommodation in Manchester and Yorkshire.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, painting and decorating to a high standard, with a company van provided and travel between sites in the designated area.

The role requires Level 2 in a relevant trade or equivalent experience, flexibility for early or late shifts, and commitment to safe, quality workmanship.

Horizon Care and Education have an exciting opportunity for a Skilled Painter and Decorator to work across our Children's Homes and Supported Accommodation services in the Manchester and Yorkshire area.

You will be working across our Registered Children's Homes in the Manchester, Burnley, Salford, West Yorkshire and Stoke area, You will be responsible for completing planned and reactive maintenance, refurbishment and painting and decorating tasks to the homes ensuring high quality workmanship and finish at all times.

You will be supplied with a company van and mobile phone/tablet plus all materials to complete work assigned.

The role will involve painting, sanding, prepping and all aspects of decorating to a high spec. There may be some general maintenance involved.

Duties will include:

• Utilising established trade skills in property maintenance/construction.

• Willing to travel to multiple sites in designated area given.
• Deliver a high quality of work and finish.
• Have qualifications equivalent to a minimum of level 2 in relevant trade and/or equivalent experience.
