Job description

We are seeking a skilled Painter on behalf of our client to work within the damp, mould, and condensation team, carrying out mould treatments throughout the Borough on a temporary contract until September.

A driving license and use of own vehicle are required for this role. The successful candidate will be responsible for decoration, both internal and external, of properties and public buildings.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure, as far as reasonably practicable, the satisfaction of the client or tenant with regard to quality of work, prompt services, and conduct wherever work is to be carried out.
• Maintain and promote a favorable business image.
• Ensure all relevant records, such as timesheets, are completed correctly by the postholder as laid down by existing procedures.
• Keep abreast of technological developments within their trade.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as a Painter and decorator in a social housing, construction, or maintenance setting.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painter and decorator or equivalent qualification.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Must hold a Basic DBS check or be willing to obtain one.

Working Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm.
