North Bay Group is recruiting six Painters & Decorators for permanent, full-time roles across several regional teams. The positions involve interior decorating in occupied care homes, with a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, and a company vehicle for work.

This is a stable opportunity within a growing estates team serving care home environments. The role requires at least 2 years of painting experience, an Enhanced DBS, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as painter & decorator.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Strong preparation and finishing skills.
• Willingness to travel within the region and stay away occasionally.
• Experience in care homes or occupied environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Interior painting and decorating in occupied care home environments.
• Surface preparation including sanding, filling, caulking, repairs.
• Apply paints, primers, wallpaper and coatings to surfaces.
• Protect furniture, fixtures and flooring before works.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism on site.
• Manage materials and report needs to Estates Manager.
• Work efficiently to programme timescales.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
• Deliver excellent customer service around residents and staff.

Join a Growing Property Maintenance Team

Due to continued growth, North Bay Group is looking to recruit 6 experienced Painters & Decorators - 3 teams of 2 (1 team based in each of the areas - Cheshire & M62 Corridor, Northeast & East Coast, Yorkshire & M1 Corridor), to join our estates and property maintenance team.

We are recruiting three decorating teams of two operatives, carrying out planned refurbishment and decoration works across our portfolio of care homes across the North of England.

This is a permanent position offering consistent work, a supportive team environment, company vehicle use, and the opportunity to be part of a business that takes pride in maintaining safe, welcoming environments for residents and staff.

What You'll Be Doing

• Internal painting and decorating works within occupied care home environments.
• Surface preparation including sanding, filling, caulking, and repairing minor defects.
• Applying paints, primers, hanging wall paper and specialist coatings to walls, ceilings, woodwork and other surfaces.
• Protecting furniture, fixtures and flooring before works commence.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, cleanliness and professionalism on site.
• Managing materials and reporting additional requirements to the Estates Manager.
• Working efficiently to agreed programmes and project timescales.
• Ensuring all Health & Safety procedures are always followed.
• Delivering excellent standards of customer service when working around residents and care staff.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Enhanced DBS check.
• Minimum 2 Years' Experience As a Painter & Decorator.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently.
