Job summary

Government Facility Services Ltd is seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join the Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Wormwood Scrubs in London. You will contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and well-decorated environment across prison facilities, working with a varied team of trades.

Location: HMP Wormwood Scrubs, Du Cane Rd W12 0AE

Salary: £31,729.91

Contract: Full time/Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at HMP Wormwood Scrubs, a Category B & Adult male prison.

We are a Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and are looking for a Painter & Decorator with a combination of:

• A City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting and decorating or equivalent (or significant experience/time served in a similar role)
• Experience working in a maintenance team
• An honest and reliable character, who can approach their work with a sense of purpose and pace
• Good Health & Safety knowledge
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills

Future Plans.

GFSL has been notified by it's shareholder (MOJ) that the provision of FM Services will in future be delivered by the private sector. This means that following a successful procurement process, GFSL's services will complete transfer to a private sector provider/providers no sooner than August 2027.
