Starting from £25,100, rising to £25,733. Please note, this salary includes a supplement to align with our commitment as a voluntary living wage employer. An additional £1,500 market supplement is also available.

Role Overview

The Department of Campus Infrastructure seeks to appoint a Painter / Decorator to join the team. You will assist with painting and decorating the University's residential buildings, hospitality, and catering outlets on campus and in the city. You may also undertake other maintenance activities, such as minor repairs and building fabric maintenance.

We Would Like to Hear From You If You

• Have an Apprenticeship in Painting & Decorating or similar to City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Decorating Occupations (Painting And Decorating) or equivalent
• Have practical DIY skills and the necessary vocational training and experience to undertake routine repairs
• Are familiar with, and comfortable working in, the built environment, able to identify and address various maintenance tasks, and keep relevant parties informed
• Have a flexible approach to work and a willingness to undertake training to enhance your knowledge
• Are committed to the role and able to work independently and as part of a team

Further Information

This role is offered on a full-time (36.5 hours per week), permanent basis. Working hours are between 08:00 and 18:00, with flexibility based on operational needs, Monday to Friday. For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Darren Chitty, Building Engineering Manager.
