Gov Facilities Services Limited (GFSL) invites applications for a part-time Painter and Decorator at HMP Portland. The role supports the Facilities Maintenance Team, painting and decorating to required standards within a secure prison environment.

The position is 24.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a salary of £20,136.28 per annum. GFSL offers holidays, safety focus, and a range of benefits.

Painter and Decorator - part-time Location: HMP Portland - DT5 1DL Salary: £20,136.28 per annum (part-time) Contract: Permanent, full time - 24.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday

• A City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting and decorating or equivalent (or significant experience/time served in a similar role)
• Experience working in a maintenance team
• An honest and reliable character, who can approach their work with a sense of purpose and pace
• Good Health & Safety knowledge
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills

Future Plans. GFSL has been notified by it's shareholder (MOJ) that the provision of FM Services will in future be delivered by the private sector. This means that following a successful procurement process, GFSL's services will complete transfer to a private sector provider/providers no sooner than August 2027.
