Job summary

Planet Recruitment is seeking qualified painters and decorators for a permanent, full-time position with our client. You will carry out painting, decorating and maintenance work to ensure buildings are safe, attractive and professionally presented.

The role requires a recognised qualification in painting and decorating (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) and experience with planned preventative maintenance programmes. IPAF/PASMA/CSCS qualifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience with painting and decorating across a range of surfaces.
• Experience with maintenance tasks and basic carpentry or upkeep work.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements in maintenance roles.
• IPAF, PASMA, CSCS or equivalent access equipment qualifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out painting, decorating and maintenance tasks to keep buildings in good condition.
• Follow instructions from the Maintenance Manager and Tickets, prioritising safety and quality.
• Support the wider Maintenance team with general maintenance duties when required.

Duties

To carry out painting, decorating, and associated maintenance works, ensuring buildings are maintained to a high standard and provide a safe, attractive, and professional environment.

Undertake duties as instructed by the Maintenance Manager, work items will also be instructed by Maintenance Request Tickets which will define the job, its location and priority. Duties will include undertaking various painting, decorating and maintenance tasks:

Specification

• Recognised qualification in Painting and Decorating (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent)
• Experience of planned preventative maintenance programmes.
• Proven experience as a Painter and Decorator, experience preparing and finishing a wide range of surfaces.
• IPAF, PASMA, CSCS Card or other relevant access equipment qualifications.
• Takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and maintaining high standards.
• Support the wider Maintenance team with general maintenance duties where appropriate.
