Job summary

Gov Facilities Services Limited (GFSL) seeks a dedicated Painter & Decorator for HMP Eastwood Park, a Category C female prison. This permanent role is 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, focused on maintaining a safe, clean and compliant environment for prisoners, staff and visitors.

You will work alongside Plumbers, Electricians and other trades, delivering high-quality painting and decorating, while upholding health and safety and contributing to wider rehabilitation and security goals.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds/NVQ Painting & Decorating or equivalent.
• Experience in a maintenance team.
• Strong health and safety knowledge.

Salary: £31,729.91 per annum

Contract: Permanent - 39hrs per week - Mon-Fri

As a Painter & Decorator, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference by providing a safe and secure environment for all.

Qualifications and Skills

• A City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting and Decorating or equivalent (or significant experience/time served in a similar role)
• Experience working in a maintenance team
• An honest and reliable character, who can approach their work with a sense of purpose and pace
• Good Health & Safety knowledge
• Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills
