Job summary

Royal Lancaster London is seeking a passionate Painter and Decorator to join our Engineering team with an immediate start. You will deliver high‑quality painting and decorating across occupied and vacant properties, contributing to memorable guest experiences and our five‑star service standards.

The role requires preparing surfaces, applying finishes, and maintaining consistency with brand standards while supporting a diverse, energetic team and a happy, fun work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in painting and decorating, preferably in hospitality.
• Ability to perform pre- and post-inspections of rooms and properties.
• Willingness to work across multiple locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre- and post-inspections of occupied and vacant rooms to assess painting needs.
• Prepare surfaces and apply paints, stains, lacquers, and finishes to a high standard.
• Carry out internal and external painting tasks ensuring durable finishes.
• Work flexibly across multiple properties and locations per business needs.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and manufacturer recommendations for finishes.

We are currently looking for a passionate Painter and Decorator, to join our Engineering basis, with an immediate start to join us in consistently delivering memorable moments and five-star service to our guests and each other. As a Painter and Decorator, your main duties and expectations for the role will include:

• Conduct pre- and post-inspections of occupied and vacant rooms and properties to assess the scope of internal and external painting and decorating works required.
• Identify decoration requirements and carry out the most cost-effective and efficient preparation, repair, and application of decorative finishes.
• Complete a wide range of internal and external painting and redecoration tasks to a high standard, ensuring a durable and professional finish in both occupied and vacant properties.
• Prepare surfaces and apply paints, stains, lacquers, enamels, varnishes, metal coatings, fire-retardant products, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Work flexibly across multiple properties and locations in line with business needs and operational requirements.

You will be required to work 40 hours per week, on a shift rota.
