Job summary

Niyaa People Ltd is seeking a self-employed Painter for a Stoke-on-Trent City Council contract. Earn £170 per day with immediate start on long-term subcontracting work across council properties.

You will be working for a reputable contractor in the Stoke-on-Trent area, carrying out painting and decorating works across council properties. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Painter looking for ongoing subcontracting work with a reliable contractor.

Qualifications

• Previous painting and decorating experience, ideally within social housing.
• A valid Blue CSCS Card (essential).
• Their own van and painting tools.
• Valid Manual Handling certification.
• Valid Asbestos Awareness certification.
• Valid Working at Heights certification.
• The ability to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out internal painting and decorating across council properties.
• Preparing walls, ceilings and woodwork before painting.
• Applying paint finishes to a high standard.
• Completing minor filling, sanding and making good.
• Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and professionally.

You'll be working for a reputable contractor in the Stoke-on-Trent area, carrying out painting and decorating works across council properties. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Painter looking for ongoing subcontracting work with a reliable contractor.

I would love to see applications from anyone who has worked as a Painter, Painter and Decorator, Maintenance Decorator or in a similar property maintenance role.

Location & travel

Based in Stoke-on-Trent, the role involves travelling between properties across the council contract. The area offers excellent road links via the A500, A50 and M6, making it accessible from Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stafford, Crewe and surrounding areas. You will need your own van and tools to carry out the work.
