Job summary

Core Group in Leicester is seeking a Painter for a short-term assignment. You will prepare walls, apply coatings, and achieve high-quality finishes on internal and external areas.

Must have a valid CSCS card, own tools if required, and a sharp eye for detail. The role runs 8 weeks with a 08:00-16:30 schedule, starting 28 September 2026.

Responsibilities

• Prepare walls, ceilings and surfaces.
• Fill, sand and repair surfaces.
• Apply emulsion, gloss and coatings.
• Undercoat and prime surfaces.
• Cut in and achieve clean edges.
• Paint internal and external areas.
• Complete touch-ups and snagging work.
• Follow specifications and instructions.
• Keep work areas clean and tidy.

Rate: £22,50

Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:30 / 8 hours paid

Duties

• Preparing walls, ceilings and other surfaces
• Filling, sanding and repairing surfaces
• Applying emulsion, gloss and other coatings
• Undercoating and priming surfaces
• Cutting in and achieving clean edges
• Painting internal and external areas where required
• Completing touch-ups and snagging works
• Working from specifications and instructions
• Keeping work areas clean and tidy

Requirements

• Valid CSCS Card
• Previous painting/decorating experience
• Good attention to detail
• Able to produce a high-quality finish
• Own tools where required
• 2 checkable references
• Good understanding of site health & safety
