Evans Halshaw Wolverhampton Bodyshop is seeking a Paint Technician to perform paint spraying across a wide range of vehicles and to undertake minor body repairs. A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.

The position offers a competitive base salary up to £36,400 with OTE from £46,400 and uncapped earning potential, along with comprehensive benefits and development opportunities in a dynamic, leading automotive retail environment.

• Experience in painting, not necessarily automotive.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced automotive bodyshop environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of paint spraying on a wide range of vehicles, as well as minor body repair work.
• Prepare paint spraying equipment and bodywork of the car.
• Maintain and clean equipment, as well as storing the paints in the correct conditions.
• Managing inventory of paints and equipment.

As a Paint Technician, you’ll be tasked with carrying out all aspects of paint spraying on a wide range of vehicles in our new, state-of-the-art workshops. Working with all the latest equipment, you will also be responsible for minor body repair work for vehicles.

To be a Paint Technician, it is essential that you hold a full UK drivers’ licence.

What does the role of Paint Technician involve?

• Carry out all aspects of paint spraying on a wide range of vehicles, as well as minor body repair work
• Prepare paint spraying equipment and bodywork of the car
• Maintain and clean equipment, as well as storing the paints in the correct conditions

What do you need to succeed as a Paint Technician?

• A relevant Body and Paint Maintenance qualification City and Guilds, IMI or BTEC
• Experience in painting but not necessarily automotive
