Job summary

Lithia UK is hiring a Paint Technician to spray paint and perform minor body repair on a wide range of vehicles in our state-of-the-art workshops. You will work with the latest equipment and play a key role in delivering high-quality finishes.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and a relevant Body and Paint Maintenance qualification (City and Guilds, IMI or BTEC). We offer generous benefits and uncapped earning potential through performance-based incentives.

• Proven experience in colour matching and spray painting.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of paint spraying on a wide range of vehicles, as well as minor body repair work
• Prepare paint spraying equipment and bodywork of the car
• Maintain and clean equipment, as well as storing the paints in the correct conditions
• Managing inventory of paints and equipment

As a Paint Technician, you’ll be tasked with carrying out all aspects of paint spraying on a wide range of vehicles in our new, state-of-the-art workshops. Working with all the latest equipment, you will also be responsible for minor body repair work for vehicles.

To be a Paint Technician, it is essential that you hold a full UK drivers’ licence.

What does the role of Paint Technician involve?

• Carry out all aspects of paint spraying on a wide range of vehicles, as well as minor body repair work
• Prepare paint spraying equipment and bodywork of the car
• Maintain and clean equipment, as well as storing the paints in the correct conditions
• Managing inventory of paints and equipment

What do you need to succeed as a Paint Technician?

• A relevant Body and Paint Maintenance qualification City and Guilds, IMI or BTEC
• Experience in painting but not necessarily automotive
• Proven experience in vehicle preparation, colour matching and spray painting.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
• A full UK driving licence.
