Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a technically strong Paint Technician to own the paint process, keep production running, and provide leadership to the team at Oldbury. The role is Monday–Thursday 8:00am–4:00pm, Friday 8:00am–1:00pm with salary dependent on experience.

You will run and maintain the paint lines, support robotic and manual operations, and coach junior members. Experience in a paint shop or manufacturing environment, knowledge of paint preparation, viscosity and process control, and

• Fault-find and troubleshoot paint process issues, identifying root causes.

• Manage paint mixing and ensure proper preparation for production.
• Support continuous improvement, reducing scrap, downtime, and paint-related quality issues.
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior team members.
• Help manage the shift and provide day-to-day leadership.

Paint Technician

Monday–Thursday 8:00am–4:00pm, Friday 8:00am–1:00pm
Salary / Rate: Dependent on experience

Key responsibilities:

• Run and maintain the paint lines, ensuring consistent output and product quality.
• Fault-find and troubleshoot paint process issues, identifying root causes
• Support both robotic and manual paint operations.
• Manage paint mixing processes and ensure paint is prepared correctly for production.
• Support continuous improvement, reducing scrap, rework, downtime and paint-related quality issues.
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior team members.
• Help manage the shift, providing day-to-day leadership and ensuring production standards are maintained.

Experience required:

• Hands-on experience within a paint shop or paint manufacturing environment.
• Practical knowledge of paint application processes, ideally involving robotic paint lines.
• Experience fault-finding on paint lines and resolving process-related production issues.
• Understanding of paint preparation, mixing, viscosity, application settings and process control.
