Job summary

Workforce Staffing in Sheffield is seeking a skilled Paint Sprayer to support a busy production team. You will prepare surfaces, mix paints, apply primer and base/top coats, and inspect finishes to ensure durability and quality while maintaining a clean, safe workshop.

Ideal candidates will have experience with air-assisted and conventional spray systems and a proven ability to deliver consistent finishes. A day shift, 40 hours per week, and a collaborative environment await.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial paint spraying using conventional and air-assisted spray equipment.
• Strong knowledge of surface preparation, paint mixing, and coating application.
• Ability to produce high-quality finishes with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming prior to painting.
• Mix paints and coatings to the correct specifications.
• Apply primer, base coats, and top coats using air-assisted and conventional spray equipment.
• Inspect finished products to ensure a high-quality, even finish and rectify any defects.
• Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of spray guns, booths, and associated equipment.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE and safe handling of paints and solvents.
• Work to production schedules while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving items within the workshop when required.
• Maintain a clean and organised spray booth and work area.
• Support other production and refurbishment tasks as required.

Responsible for preparing, spraying, and finishing a wide range of recycled and refurbished equipment to a high standard. Working as part of the production team to ensure all items meet quality requirements while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
