Perfect Placement is seeking an experienced Paint Sprayer for their Swindon bodyshop in Wiltshire. The role offers a competitive salary (£40,000–£50,000) and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will prepare vehicles, mask surfaces, apply paint, and ensure high-quality finishes within health and safety guidelines. The ideal candidate has proven spray-painting experience in a bodyshop, IMI/NVQ Level 3 in vehicle paint spraying (desirable), and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Paint Sprayer.
• Experience in a bodyshop environment.
• IMI/NVQ Level 3 in vehicle paint spraying is desirable but not essential if strong on-the-job experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and team collaboration skills.
• Good communication skills.
• A valid UK driving licence with minimal points.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for painting, ensuring all surfaces are ready to accept paintwork
• Mask vehicles accurately prior to applying paint
• Carry out minor damage repairs and refinishing work
• Polish vehicles to remove defects in paintwork
• Mix paints to accurately match vehicle colours
• Apply paint products professionally and to a consistent high standard
• Work efficiently to meet production deadlines
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed at all times

Our client, a leading independent used van and commercial vehicle retailer based in Swindon, Wiltshire, is seeking an experienced Paint Sprayer to join their modern bodyshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional looking to further their career within a reputable organisation. The Paint Sprayer role offers a competitive salary of between £40,000 and £50,000 per annum, depending on experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package. The working hours are from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays from 8:00am to 1:30pm on a rota basis, paid as overtime.
