Are you an experienced industrial wet paint professional ready to take ownership of a paint shop and help build its future?
At Northpoint, we’re looking for a hands‑on Paint Shop Manager to oversee our two industrial wet paint booths. This is an opportunity to put your technical experience into practice, shape how the department operates and build and lead a team as production increases.
You could be an established manager looking for a new challenge, or an experienced supervisor or team leader ready to take the next step.
Established in 1976, Northpoint is an employee‑owned business specialising in protective and decorative coatings. From our Dukinfield facility, we provide powder coating and wet paint services for customers across sectors including water, oil and gas, marine, defence and infrastructure.
We take pride in the quality of our work and in understanding what our customers need. Our values include responsible working, fair business practices and opportunities for our people to learn and develop. As an employee‑owned business, we also recognise the shared contribution our people make to our success.
You’ll take responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of our wet paint operation, organising workloads and making sure work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
Initially, this will be a practical, hands‑on role, with regular involvement in painting, troubleshooting and maintaining standards. As production increases, your responsibilities will develop to include building, training and leading a larger team.
Working closely with production, quality and senior management, you’ll help establish effective processes and have the confidence to challenge or stop work where safety or quality requirements are not being met.
You don’t need experience with every system listed. We welcome applications from people with strong industrial wet paint experience and leadership potential, with training and development available to build on your existing skills.
