Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is delighted to offer the National Teaching Assistant Programme in Jarrow. This paid placement supports individuals with no prior childcare experience to develop classroom skills and work across EYFS, KS1, KS2 or SEND settings.

Participants complete a thorough training programme delivered by Vision for Education and school leaders, gaining essential skills to work effectively with children, staff and families, while safeguarding obligations are addressed.

Responsibilities

• Secure a paid placement in a school to develop classroom skills.
• Navigate identity as an educator and choose a specialist area (EYFS, KS1, KS2 or SEND).
• Complete a comprehensive training programme delivered by Vision for Education.
• Support day-to-day needs of all children and build relationships with staff and families.
• Assist teachers during whole class teaching and run small group interventions.
• Support 1:1 with pupils to ensure needs are met and pupils thrive.
