Job summary

United Lincolnshire Hospitals is seeking a Band 4 Therapy Assistant Practitioner in Paediatrics at Lincoln. The role supports patient flow with good MDT collaboration, and is ideal for someone with therapy assistant experience or senior health care support work, progressing to band 4.

The post offers full-time hours (37.5 per week) within an NHS Trust that values compassionate, collaborative and innovative care.

Qualifications

2 A level’s or equivalent Level 3 qualification in a subject relevant to the post
GCSE English and Maths - Grade 4-9 or equivalent
Relevant Level 5 qualification (Diploma level) or equivalent e.g Foundation degree, HNC
ECDL or equivalent
Other related Healthcare qualifications

Responsibilities

To work with a degree of autonomy and as part of a team manage a designated workload, maintaining appropriate records, within a scope of practice and accept accountability and responsibility for own actions.
To undertake support work in the rehabilitation of defined patients within the caseload and provide treatment in line with Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy guidelines.
To accept patients within a scope of practice and carry as own patient caseload.
To evaluate patient’s progress and use own judgement to make amendments to the treatment programme within their scope of practice.
To undertake administrative and some housekeeping duties to support the Therapy service.
