Job summary

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust is recruiting a Band 3 Speech and Language Therapy Assistant for a 6-month bank contract in Lincoln. You will deliver individual therapy programmes to children with speech, language and communication needs and join a supportive children's team across diverse settings.

You will receive training and supervision, with flexible working possibilities (full-time, part-time or flexible hours) and a pro rata salary of £25,760–£27,476 per annum.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, or equivalent.
• Demonstrable basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• NVQ3 in Care or equivalent knowledge, experience or training.
• Ability to complete induction lasting 3–6 months and undertake short clinical courses.
• Trained in child protection issues.
• Makaton foundation training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual therapy programmes to children with speech, language and communication needs.
• Work within the Children’s Speech and Language Therapy team across multiple settings.
• Receive training, mentoring and clinical supervision.
• Collaborate with education and other services to support communication development.
