Job summary

University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Theatre Practitioner (ODP/RCN/RN) to join the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children theatre team. The post offers leadership of a multidisciplinary theatre team across peri-operative services and cover for anaesthetic and surgical specialties, with 24/7 site obligations.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience in the specialist peri-operative field.
• Experience in at least two peri-operative modalities (scrub/recovery or anaesthetics).
• Ability to lead and support a multidisciplinary theatre team to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide integrated clinical leadership for theatre staff and resources.
• Coordinate operational management and deputise for senior leads as required.
• Lead and support multidisciplinary teams to maintain patient care standards.
• Cover anaesthetic and surgical specialties and ensure 24/7 theatre coverage.
