Job summary

Held Health is seeking a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team in Sheffield. You will work across mainstream schools and therapy sites, four days on site and one remote in term time, with more flexible options outside term-time.

The role focuses on early interventions, school-based support, assessments, and staff training. Applicants should have a recognised SLT qualification, HCPC/RCSLT registration, and experience with paediatric SLCN, including autism.

Qualifications

• Qualified SLT with HCPC registration.
• Experience with paediatric SLCN, autism/ADHD.
• Experience in education settings and schools.

Responsibilities

• Observe pupils in school settings to identify communication needs.
• Provide strategies and recommendations to teachers and SENCOs.
• Deliver small group and staff training sessions.
• Coach staff in identifying SLCN and monitoring progress.
• Audit school communication environments and implement adaptations.
• Co-design interventions with school staff and families.
• Carry out autism assessments (ADOS-2) as part of pathway.
• Maintain accurate records and intervention plans.
