Job summary

Momenta Connect is seeking a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to join a friendly multi-disciplinary team in Sussex. The role balances direct therapy with assessment, consultation and practical strategies to support children and young people.

You will work mainly in school settings, with clinic-based and remote opportunities where appropriate, delivering evidence-based interventions and contributing to EHCP assessments.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Speech and Language Therapy.
• HCPC registration.
• Experience in paediatric, school-based or EHCP-focused settings.
• Confidence supporting children and young people with complex communication, SEMH or behavioural needs.
• Experience completing assessments for Education, Health and Care Plans.
• Specialist CPD, training or trauma-informed practice experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess children and young people with SEND, autism, developmental language needs, social communication differences, SEMH needs and more complex profiles.
• Plan and deliver evidence-based, individualised interventions, including direct therapy, advice and consultation.
• Contribute to EHCP assessments, reports and outcome reviews.
• Work closely with teachers, parents, carers, SENCOs and multidisciplinary colleagues to embed communication support throughout the school day.
• Review progress, adapt intervention plans and contribute to joined-up support for children with more complex needs.
