Job summary

KT Healthcare Limited is seeking a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to join its SEND Therapies team on an associate basis. The role focuses on direct therapy, assessment, AAC support, and training within school and community settings.

The successful candidate will work monthly initially, with flexible working patterns agreed with schools and families. Salary is £70 per hour plus paid travel time (£40ph) and mileage (55p per mile).

Qualifications

• Paediatric Speech & Language Therapy experience preferred.
• Experience working with children and young people, ideally in education or SEND settings.
• Ability to produce clear reports and therapy plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language therapy through individual, group or classroom sessions.
• Assess receptive and expressive language, speech and communication development.
• Develop functional communication targets with education staff and families.
• Assess readiness for AAC and advise on systems and access methods.
• Provide training to parents, carers and education staff.
• Develop written programmes and recommendations and review progress.
