Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for the Associate Paediatric Respiratory and Sleep Physiologist role in the Paediatric Respiratory and Sleep Physiology team at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. The post focuses on delivering comprehensive lung function testing and sleep studies for children, within a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

5 GCSEs or equivalent, including English, Mathematics and Science.
NVQ Level 3 or three A-levels at grades A*-C including a science subject.
Knowledge of lung function investigations.

Responsibilities

Undertaking a range of lung function investigations with inpatients and outpatients (spirometry, FeNO, nasal NO and bronchodilator response assessments).
Facilitating sleep study investigations for inpatients and home sleep studies (overnight oximetry, overnight CO2 monitoring and respiratory polygraphy).
Maintaining equipment to ensure it functions to standards.
Training in basic analysis and reporting of sleep studies.
