Job summary

Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting five Band 5 Occupational Therapists to join the Paediatric OT team as part of the Experts of Hand Model. This role provides universal, targeted and specialist advice to children in schools, clinics, homes and family hubs across Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale.

Responsibilities

• Carry out holistic assessment of children's needs and develop, implement and evaluate treatment programmes across home, school and community settings.
• Assess equipment needs for posture, function and care and set up and review equipment for the caseload.
• Communicate with other teams, parents and children, often handling sensitive information regarding therapy and outcomes.
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team across health, education and social services to ensure high levels of child care.
• Contribute to Education and Health care plan processes and remain vigilant to safeguarding concerns.
• Support senior team members in delivering evidence-based, child-centred care.
• Work as an autonomous practitioner, managing own caseload and maintaining accurate records.
