Job summary

Children and Family Health Devon is recruiting Band 5 Occupational Therapists to join the Experts at Hand programme embedded within our Physical and Sensory Pathway. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to assess and support disabled children’s participation and independence in education and daily life.

Qualifications

• Must be HCPC registered and eligible to practise as an Occupational Therapist.
• Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
• Member of the RCOT or working toward RCOT membership.

Responsibilities

• Assess, advise and provide intervention for children and young people with functional, developmental and sensory processing needs.
• Manage a defined caseload under the supervision of senior Occupational Therapists.
• Work collaboratively with children, families, educational settings and partner agencies to support participation, independence and achievement of goals.
• Provide advice, support and training to parents, carers, schools and professionals.
• Contribute to delivery of the Experts at Hand model by supporting inclusive practice and capacity building within education settings.
