Welbeck Cambridge is seeking a dedicated Paediatric Nurse to join our private day-case centre. You will deliver family-centred care across outpatient and surgical pathways, working with consultants and a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, compassionate care for children and families.

You will lead paediatric pre-assessments, contribute to service development, and support staff development while upholding safeguarding and best-practice standards in a private healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• NMC Registered Children's Nurse with paediatric experience.
• Experience in surgical, day unit or paediatric settings.
• Excellent assessment, communication and clinical decision‑making.
• Commitment to safeguarding and patient-centered care.
• Thrives in a collaborative MDT environment.

Responsabilités

• Deliver high-quality, family-centred nursing care to children and young people throughout their outpatient and surgical journey.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate outcomes to ensure safe care.
• Undertake nurse-led services, including paediatric pre-assessments and specialist clinics.
• Provide expert advice, education, and support to children, families, and healthcare colleagues.
• Recognise deteriorating patients and escalate concerns when required.
• Collaborate with consultants, theatre teams, and MDT to support seamless care.
• Act as paediatric resource across the centre, supporting staff development and service improvement.
• Contribute to audits and quality improvement programmes.
