Welbeck Cambridge is seeking a dedicated Pre/Post Operative Nurse to deliver exceptional perioperative care in a modern private day‑case setting. You will support patients from pre‑operative assessment through recovery and discharge, working autonomously yet with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient care and a patient‑centred experience.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or ODP with perioperative/surgical ward or day‑case experience.
• Strong clinical skills with excellent communication and organisation.
• Calm under pressure with good decision-making and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe perioperative care across the patient pathway (pre‑assessment to discharge).
• Assess suitability for day‑case surgery and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Monitor patients perioperatively and respond to deterioration using NEWS2.
• Provide patient‑centred care and education throughout treatment.
• Administer prescribed treatments and ensure discharge criteria are met.
• Collaborate with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to maintain high standards.
