Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is recruiting a Registered Children’s Nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for paediatric patients across services. The role requires strong teamwork, excellent communication and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registered Children's Nurse with valid NMC Registration.
• Demonstrates excellent teamwork and initiative.
• Strong listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with people as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent time management.
• Working knowledge of basic information technology.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care for patients to ensure delivery of a high standard of care.
• Maintain effective communications with patients, relatives and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
• Report changes in patients' condition or concerns relating to child protection to senior staff.
• Organise workload of own and junior staff and manage time to meet patient interests.
• Work within National policies, procedures, standards and protocols.
