Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Paediatric Nurse with experience of long‑term ventilation (LTV) to join the Paediatric Critical Care ODN as the Network LTV workstream educator. The post is education‑focused, supporting LTV pathways across the East of England, and collaborating with regional and national LTV workstreams and multi‑disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Registered Paediatric Nurse with current NHS registration.
• Recognised Teaching/mentoring qualification would be beneficial.
• Experience caring for children requiring long-term ventilation (LTV).
• Nursing experience in paediatric critical care.
• Experience at a senior clinical level (Band 6 or above).
• Experience in teaching/mentoring/preceptorship.
• Experience in developing learning resources and education.
• Experience working within multi-professional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead on the delivery and evaluation of LTV education packages across the EoE.
• Deliver MDT LTV education across the network and provide support to individual Trusts.
• Build relationships with other ODN LTV and education teams to rationalise resources.
• Ensure clinical practice remains evidence-based and aligned with NHS guidance.
• Contribute to curriculum developments in LTV care and education across the region.
