Bristol Ambulance, part of EMED Group, invites applications for a Retrieval Care Assistant to join the Paediatric Retrieval Team based in Aztec West, Bristol. The role will support Neonatal and Paediatric ICU teams across the South West and Wales to stabilise and transfer children to specialist units.

The position follows a 4 on, 4 off 12-hour shift pattern (days and nights). Applicants must hold a C1 driving licence and blue light qualification, with a valid UK manual licence (2+ years) and

Qualifications

• C1 driving licence and blue light qualification (essential)
• Valid UK manual driving licence for a minimum of 2 years
• Ability to work flexible day/night shifts (08:30-20:30 / 20:30-08:30)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles and equipment are maintained and thoroughly checked
• Provide care and support for paediatric patients during retrieval
• Communicate effectively with ICU teams across regions
