Job summary

Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Consultant in Paediatric Endocrinology to provide specialist care and lead in teaching, research and governance. The post includes on-call duties and involvement in clinic services across multiple sites.

The role offers participation in academic and clinical activities, with opportunities for professional development and leadership within a major children’s hospital.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration is required.
• Primary medical degree is essential.
• On the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of CCT.
• Higher degree such as MSc is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead paediatric endocrinology clinics as part of a team.
• Contribute to teaching and training of students and trainees.
• Engage in audits, research and governance activities.
• Participate in service development and planning.
