Job summary

Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a substantive full-time consultant in Paediatric Endocrinology. The role includes running endocrine clinics, on-call duties, and contributing to general endocrinology and subspecialty work.

You will participate in teaching, supervise junior staff, and develop research interests. The post supports academic activity, with opportunities for service development and audits, aligned with NHS priorities and patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with licence to practice.
• Primary medical degree required for appointment.
• On the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of CCT at interview.
• Desirable higher degree (MSc) and related qualifications.
• DCH/DCCH/MBA or other relevant diplomas are advantageous.
• Teaching qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead paediatric endocrine clinics; participate in sub-specialty work.
• Supervise junior staff and supervise clinical work of trainees.
• Engage in teaching of undergraduates and postgraduates.
• Develop research interests and contribute to audits.
