Job summary

Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust's Emergency Department Paediatrics is seeking a Band 6 Junior Sister/Charge Nurse to lead and support a multidisciplinary paediatric ED team. You will assess care needs, implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes with families and colleagues, ensuring high-quality, safe patient care.

This role involves shift work, including unsocial hours, and opportunities to lead recruitment, drive retention, and develop leadership skills within a dynamic, trauma-enabled

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with appropriate Band 6 level and paediatric experience.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor teams in a busy ED.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in paediatric emergency care is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate care plans with the MDT and families.
• Support senior and junior team to deliver high-quality care, including in unsocial hours.
• Lead, manage and support nursing teams; assist with retention and recruitment.
• Drive service improvement and staff development within Paediatric ED.
