Job summary

Empowering U Healthcare in Solihull is seeking a compassionate Paediatric Complex Care Assistant to support a child with complex medical needs at their school. You will provide dedicated, person-centred care, assist with mobility, feeding, and daily activities, and liaise with parents and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.

This role requires an Enhanced DBS, strong English communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
• Strong spoken and written English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Enhanced DBS required.
• Experience with children or complex needs preferred but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence & access to a vehicle preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing personalised care at the service users school.
• Assisting with medication administration and monitoring health conditions.
• Implementing and following individual care plans.
• Supporting children with mobility and daily activities.
• Assisting with feeding and ensuring adequate nutrition.
• Monitoring and recording observations on the child's condition.
• Liaising with parents and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Engaging children in play activities to promote their development and well-being.
• Deliver compassionate, person-centred care in line with care plans.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and daily activities.
• Promote independence, dignity, and emotional wellbeing.
• Build trusting relationships with clients and families.
• Follow all health & safety regulations and company policies.
